Harriett Freeman
« on: Sunday 17 June 12 23:33 BST (UK) »
I was wondering if anyone might be able to help me find anything about the wife of Joseph Freeman.

I have found the family on the 1881 census as seen below but cannot seem to find anything about her before she was married not even her maiden name????

Probably a long shot but just thought i would ask

Thanks in advance for any help

Eldest child was 2yrs old in 1861 - there is an 1858 marriage on freebmd September qtr 1858 in Battle but there is a Henry Freeman and Harriett Barker on the same page - nothing for a Joseph

There is an 1861 entry for Henry & Harriett Freeman so not the right marriage

There is also an 1860 baptism in Battle Union of a Henry John Freeman, mother Harriet, no father shown.  Could it be that Harriet & Joseph were not married?  Josephs profession also seems to change.  He is a sawyer when some children are baptised and later becomes a stone setter.    Roy G

On Ancestry there is a tree that gives the marriage of Joseph to a lady called Harriet Fuller 7/3/1857 in Bexhill and lists the children the same. I hope this might be of help. Poppyann
