Looking for marriage of Hugh Reid to Elizabeth Brown in Tyrone, Ireland about 1845
Also birth of their son James Reid about 1845.
Can anyone help?

Statutory registration of non RC marriages started on 1.4.1845. I can’t see the marriage listed in the stat indexes, so if this was a non RC marriage, then it looks as though it took place before that date.

You will need to rely on church records to try and find it, but to do that you really need to know the exact denomination and the couples townlands or parishes.

Hi Elwyn,
It seems they were married prior to 1845. I don't think they were RC and I don't know anymore other than they came from Tyrone so it does make it diificult to research.
Hugh Reid's parents were John Reid & Agnes Beggs. Elizabeth Brown parents were James Brown & Agnes Burnoch.
Hugh & Elizabeth Reid went to Scotland about 1845.
