Back than, if Ann was illegitimate, mother Elizabeth Banks, than mother marrys Thomas Gad, would Ann take on name Gad or keep Banks as surname? Which name would appear on Ann's marriage cert? Hope this is'nt a silly question but am trying to sort out if have right familes. Any lead is a help.
