My earliest Robert Gillespie born abt 1789-1796 in Falkirk, was the son of Robert Gillespie and Margaret/Mary Millar. They married in Falkirk about 1788 and Margaret was originally of the Carriden parish and child of Robert Miller and Anne Alexander. That is why Margaret shows up living with Robert in the 1841 Scottish census. She states on her 1852 poor relief application that her husband Robert died about 18 years earlier.
She has a (1) daughter, Catherine who marries Robert Smith and has Michael, Robert, Elizabeth, Margaret, Catherine, Adam and Alexander Smith. The last 2 are "writers" in Falkirk.
She has (2) daughter, Agnes born abt 1792 who marries a Mr. Stewart and immigrates to America.

Her, mary catherine loney's, mother was Agnes Gillespie born 24 june 1857 in bannockburn stirlingshire her father was robert gillespies born on 04 the june 1821 in alloa clackmannanshire,My robert gillespie, who married Elizabeth Paterson, who was born on 04th june 1826, in strathblane stirlingshire. Robert's father was David Gillespie born on 23rd January 1796 in Alloa Clackmannanshire  who married Agnes Gillespie. born about 1790 in Tillicoultry Clackmannanshire. they married on 24/7th June 1819 in Clackmannanshire. Think the link may either be through David's brother's and sisters or Agnes's (1790) Family or even possibly through the brother and sisters of Robert Gillespie (1821) but no idea where. However have new family information to give you as David(1796)'s Father was a Robert Gillespie born in 1756 in Alloa who married a Jean Fyfe born in 1760 in Alloa they married in 1781 on 29/09/1781 in Alloa. Robert and Jean's Children was David born 23 January 1796 in Alloa,Robert (1821)'s father,Robert Gillespie 22 September 1782 born in Alloa,John Gillespie born 14th July 1784 in Alloa,Robert Gillespie born 23rd February 1786 in Alloa, Margaret Gillespie born on 19 June 1789 in Alloa, Jean Gillespie born on 20th January 1792 in Alloa,Margaret Gillespie born 3rd September 1793 Alloa and Alexander Gillespie born 19th August 1798 Alloa. Think Robert Gillespie(1821)'s may have had a sister born on 22nd April 1823 in Clackmannan and think he may also have had a brother called William some time around the 1820's.
