Hi Cheran, I haven't done much in the last couple of months- I tend to get into it during the school holidays (I am a teacher). I started to source "To Find the Way" but the email link I was communicating via stopped working and I must admit, I forgot about it until just recently. The really good thing about the Roads and Bowyer families in Yankalilla is that so much information has already been gathered - so any of my research is not ground-breaking stuff, but trying to get a feel for the families and how they fitted into the community.
In "Roads Across the Ocean" there is very little about Frank Roads - at the time the book was compiled the author was not aware of my research and connection.
I have a photograph (probably wedding) of Jane nee Roads and her husband George Donald Perry if you would like me to send you a scanned image. I find it particularly interesting to compare the faces in portraits to see what characteristics may have been passed down. I have been led to believe that red-headedness and deafness are characteristics of the Roads family. My grandfather, Fred, son of Jane nee Roads, was both. Please stay in touch and I'll spread the contents of the file out on my dining table some time and go through it.
Happy to make your acquaintance,
Jennifer
