Old Maps
« Reply #9 on: Friday 08 June 12 22:37 BST (UK) »
Hi, has anyone used the Old Map's site lately. I tried to use it and found the enhanced zoom function wasn't available. Does anyone know if the function has been taken off permanently or is it just a temporary fault with the site?

[That discussion just about explains it all.  :-\I agree with the poster who recommended the NLS maps - they are excellent, and the overlay feature is a boon.

I should have looked here first  ::) but where is the post on NLS maps, and where do I find those.
I can only find links to Scotland.

Geoff-E, I've just had a look at that site but when I click 'View this map' there's just a black screen in most cases.  Are there any detailed instructions on the site?

Regards,

I find it very difficult to work with. I got  View this map, but then it took me to  a British Library Online Collection.  Then another one took me to Vision of Britain.

I think I`ll pass on this one, thank you.  ;)
