Hi jericho,

Just one at the moment:

Edward Searle born about 1720.
Married Eleanor Bateman on 19 July 1801 (she was 83, he was about 81!!!!) in Barkway.
He was buried on 31st October 1804 in Barkway, Hertfordshire along with his wife.

Wonder what killed them off!!  ;D ;D

Hope this helps

Cheers

Keith

Hi Jericho ....

If you're not in contact already, "Findem" is your man - he lurks in the Essex area quite a lot of the time !  There was a Searle link to the Fewells circa 1800 hence my interest and contact with Findem.

I'll post what I have once I've had a dig in my old e-mails -  Are you after a line in particular or having a general trawl ?

Aye

Hi MiddleEnglander

Have already been in contact with "Findem" and this has proved to be very helpful, and have established a possible link, which means there is a possible link with the Fewell Family, thank you for your interest, it is much appreciated.

Hi, Jericho,
My 4-times-gt-grandfather's sister Ann's second marriage was to a SEARLE from Saffron Walden.  In 1791 James Ginn SEARLE married Ann PAKEMAN (nee GURNER) in Ickleton, Cambs, just across the County border.  He was born in 1730 and died in 1810, and she was born in 1736 and died in 1817.  They were both heavily involved in the Protestant Dissenters Chapel in Abbey Lane, Saffron Walden.  Although they didn't have any children of their own - quite naturally, as she was 56 years old when she re-married - I believed the SEARLE family flourished for a while in Saffron Walden, Essex...
