Hi Jericho

There's no need for thanks, i have a distant Searles relation by marriage (Sophia Fewell & Thomas Searles)
so i always automatically look for them when looking at parish records.
No need to keep saying thanks mate. i know you appreciate it. It's my pleasure. Honest. xx

Kath x
p.s if i come across anymore i will add them to the William Searle/Ann Lockhart post so has not to take up to much of your thread ;)

Just wanted to add that I have an Anne Searle c1762 in Essex who married John Waterman in Moreton, Essex on 27 July 1780. I haven't been able to find anything about Anne's family and I have a choice of 3 parents for John Waterman!! This part of my tree has been like banging my head against a brick wall...

I also wanted to add that I have a fair amount of Fewell/Fuell information which I am happy to share with anyone who is interested. :)
In Dorset: Clare, Clark, Ford.
In Essex: Fewell, Searle, Waterman.
In Lincolnshire: Blackburn, Hardy.
In London: Wiggins.
In Nottingham: Foster.
In Wales: Davies, Price.
In Yorkshire: Crabtree, Greenwood, Needham.

Hi Kathy

If you look on the Essex board there are a lot of people interested in the Fewell/Fuell family and I am sure they would indeed be happy to have your input. As I have been unable to get back past 1796 with my Searles family from Felsted Essex, I have no idea if there is any connection to the Fewell family or the Waterman family, this Searles family has become a real brick wall for me, and one that I believe may take some time to solve. Thanks for you help, good luck with the Fewell connections.

Hi Jericho,

Thanks for the reply - I will check out the Essex board as soon as I work my way around this message board!

I would love to find out more with my Searle line but haven't had much luck, I couldn't even narrow it down to where Anne was born other than Essex. Very frustrating...

Good luck with your Searles line.

Kathy. :)

Hello Kathy ...

I'm sure our paths have crossed in the past but my brain doesn't work very well at one in the morning !

I see you're a Searles researcher too. This is probably telling mother how to suck eggs, but Findem is the man to speak to on the pre 1790 Searles. He's been actively hunting down names for a good few years and must have an incredible data base by now. This said, I've been contacted by a number of 'Searles Seekers' over the last couple of years - I'll look at getting you in contact (if you're not already) but it won't be for a few days I'm afraid.

Ooh thanks for that, I will contact Findem and ask if he knows anything about my Anne Searle as I really could do with all the help going! Plus if you could sort out any details of Searle contacts you've been in touch with then that would be great too.

Thanks again, Kathy.
