I have a obituary date for Robert Leyland Catchlove in the Sydney Morning Herald dated 17Aug 1995. Is there anyway to see this obituary online?
Thank you for your help. I am just wondering if his wife Betty outlived him. Betty name was Betty Elsie Thompson.I am not sure if they had children. I know of Betty's parents.

If you have the date from the Ryerson Index I'm sure there are details of how to obtain a copy of the notice. I don't think you can look at notices online.

Hi ........if you live in NSW you can join the NSW STATE LIBRARY for free and if you live too far away in the state from it you can obtain online SMH to 1995 through the e-resource site using your library card which the library sends you. You just log on and start searching through the material that is available on line at the library without leaving home.

Another thought got to your local library and request an interlibrary loan for the SMH reel for the months you require.

I am in Canada. I will look again at the index to see if there is a way for me to get a copy of the obit.It said he died on the 15th and the orbit was puplished on the 17th.

The SMH archives are only available online to 27 February 1995.

You could try asking a librarian at the NSW State Library for a lookup. They might be able to help.

My understanding is that copies of the more recent papers are available at the library.
