I am trying to locate a record of birth for a Mr John JP McDermott born in Liverpool in 1925, fathers name was Simon McDermott, mothers  name was Sarah nee Dinsmore. I hav etried various sources on the net without success can anyone please help  ;D ;D

As you may know there's just 1 child registered to this couple,a girl in 1929 In W.Derby.
As you are also aware they married in 1925 the same year you are looking for John.
There's a Francis J Dinsmore registered June 1925 8b/744 in W.Derby,mother Dinsmore.

Welcome to RootsChat!  :)

He was born 14 Nov 1925 according to his death index record, so his birth was probably registered in December quarter 1925 or perhaps March quarter 1926 if they were late in registering it.

However I can't see any likely entries. How sure are you he was born in England?
