Hi All
Can anyone tell me the cost of a copy of an inquest report please? Also where do I send for it from please?
I have a death certificate for 1908 for a family member and would like to get a copy and I've never got one before.
Thanks in advance.

Try Gwent Archives for Monmouthshire.
I know Denbighshire Archives has an index to inquests held there , not online - you have to phone them.
Also it`s worth looking for a report in the papers.
I sent for an inquest for a death in 1928 and found there was much more in the newspaper report.

The main Newport Library on John Frost Square is worth a try, and as suggested local newspapers are a good source and the library hold a big selection of archived newspapers.
anything and everything to do with the village of Brithdir, near New Tredegar in Gwent.

It`s also worth looking for an obituary at the same time , they are very useful in naming relatives.
