Looking for Walter Jones of Wales and Alberta

I'm looking for information on the family of Walter JONES (possible middle name Griffith) b. 1890, +/- 10 years, in Wales. I have no further information on location within Wales. He lived in Lethbridge, Alberta, Canada for a short time where he fathered a son, Clifford Allen JONES, b. 1926, with Laura Edith ROWLAND. We are not certain if they were ever married.

We believe he returned to Wales where he lived out the remainder of his life.

Searching the boards on another site, I did come across a Walter JONES b. 1871 in Merthyr, Glamorgan who  married Mary Perkins GRIFFITHS b. 1871 in Merthyr and d. 1896. I confirmed their births in the 1881 Census.  I cannot find any information on the children of this couple but suspect they could be the parents of the Walter JONES I'm looking for...

Any information would be greatly appreciated!

Hi Jawsmiley,

Having just read your post I was intrigued to see some similar names crop up.
I am study the Organ family who went to Lethbridge, Alberta in the early 1900's and have the Wifes name as a Rebecca Griffiths.
Her eldest son was called Henry George Percy GRIFFITHS Organ.

The whole family emigrated from Liverpool to Alberta. Do you think there could be a connection somewhere?
