Death Certificate puzzle * solved*

Please see attached death certificate for my great,great uncle, George Duncan.
I have 3 queries.

1.  What does it say in the far left margin before  " Page 46 15 Feb 1904"?

2.  Does anyone know what it refers to ?

3.  Can anyone make out the name of the brother who informed of the death,in Column 7?

2. This indicates that a correction has been made to the entry and it will be explained in the register of corrections

Brother is shortened version of Alexander.

That would tie in with a tree that gives his brothers as Alexander, James, Peter and Robert (and a half brother also called Alexander)

Thanks, I did wonder if it was Alexr, as that it how they have filled in at least one of the census forms.

Where did you find a tree with a half brother Alexander ?

I have the family tree and have George with older brothers Alexander and John , older sister May, and younger brothers James, Peter and Robert, with younger sisters Isabella and Elizabeth .

You can discount the half brother Alexander, its a mistake on the tree on Ancestry

On the page where you downloaded the death certificate, you should find a button that links you to the entry in the Register of Corrected Entries, which you can then download.
