Hello all.
Due to fantastic help from people on previous posts, I've managed to move on.
I now ask for your kind help on the following.

I'm searching for descendants of my Great Grandfather.

John William Hirst. b.1878. Huddersfield.
He lived at Lee & Burleys yard and 33 Northumberland street, Huddersfield.

He Married Catherine Birmingham who sadly died and left him widowed.
He then remarried, with Lettie Earle, on 12th Jan 1912 at St Marks, Huddersfield.

They had many children:

William.  b.1912. d.1912.

Willie.  b.1913.

Jack Wellington.  b.1915 (My Grandfather)

Lily.  b.1917.

James.  b.1918.

Violet.  b.1920.

May.  b.1921.

Ivy.  b.1923.

Daisy.  b.1924.

Harry.  b.1927.

Cyril.  b.1929.

Thomas.  b.1930.

Joan.  b.1931.

I'm looking to go as far back as possible on John William Hirst's ancestry.

I have uncertain information, that his father was James Hirst, and Mother Louisa Hirst.

Could any of you great folk help me on this one?

Birth 15 May 1877 Parish Huddersfield St Peter
Baptism 19 Nov 1879 son of James and Louisa Thomas Street

Have you checked freebmd for a birth for John William in Huddersfield and obtained a copy of his birth cert to confirm his parentage and mothers maiden name?

Have you found him on the 1881 census which is free to search at http://www.rootschat.com/links/0lfe/

His marriage cert to Catherine Birmingham gives Thomas Street as his address and James as his father as well.

They also baptised Harry Atkinson Hirst on same day he was born 30 July 1879

How do you guys obtain this info?
I've been struggling for a while with little bits that i can't link together.
I've tried FreeBMD but its very limited sometimes.

Is there any record of the maiden name of Louisa, John Williams mother?

theres a marriage 1872 James Hirst and Louisa Whittaker possible bride in Huddersfield
