Does anyone have burial records for Drayton in Hales 1827? Looking for further info on Tho's Gad buried 15 July 1827 at Drayton in Hales.  In 1827 would there be anymore information or only what I've given?

Hi

There is a little more info from a popular BI, assuming he is yours:

15 July 1827 Thomas Gad aged 60y, Market Drayton, St Mary, bur.

Hope this helps a little.

Geoff

Thanks Geoff,

Now I know age & where buried I can chase a bit further.  If you have come across my posts for Thomas you will notice he was married in 1823 so that would have made him about 56 yrs when married Elizabeth Banks. He had a child, James born 1824.  Maybe late marrying, but could explain not being able to find on census being that age. Following a few leads Banks side so maybe have luck there.  Thanks again as you know any little info is helpful in looking elsewhere.

Hi

The names Gad(d)/Banks rings a bell, without checking my notes I'm sure I've come across them before.

If you haven't got his full birth details...

Source, Moreton Say PR:
1 Mar 1767 Thomas s. of John & Alice Gad, bap.

Hi Andy

Had a quick look on a Popular Burial Index (1834):
9 Jan 1834 William Andrews aged 44, Market Drayton, bur.
15 Jan 1834 William Andrews aged 69, Rushbury, St Peter, bur.
24 Mar 1834 William Andrews aged 21, Kemberton, St John the Baptist, bur.

I haven't checked out the feasibility of any of these yet.

Geoff
