I'll do some checking with my other wayward branches and see if they tie together.

It looks as though James married Jennet Ellston first:-
Marriage: 15 May 1733 St Chad, Poulton le Fylde, Lancashire
James Swarbrick - Carlton
Jennet Ellston - Carlton
    Notes: published and married
    Register: Marriages 1713 - 1742, Page 166, Entry 19

She then died:-
Burial: 25 May 1736 St Chad, Poulton le Fylde, Lancashire
Jennet Swarbrick - wife of James Swarbrick
    Abode: Thornton
    Register: Burials 1713 - 1741, Page 142, Entry 12

Amazing how fashionable the name Jennet was in Poulton in the early 1700s!  :D
