May be worth following up on this.

Sheep visits- Terrill, Dr C E (Australian and New Zealand).

This undigitised document would have to be obtained from:

www.naa.gov.au

There is a cost involved.

What a wonderful surprise this am - many, many thanks to the various posters for the wealth of information.

To Leanne:  What are sheep visits?

To Crisane: Did the marriages you quoted for Pamela and Alberta Nancy take place in NZ?
William John is supposed to have married a Myrtle (surname unknown)
Similarly, Edwin (believed to have been born 31 Aug 1919) married Peggy ?? in 1945.
I have no indication as to where these marriages took place, but now can I assume they  were in NZ?

Samuel John is reputed to have married a 2nd time to an Ethel, again presumably in NZ?

Again, very big 'Thankyou'

This would be a guess.
But maybe sheep visits were livestock inspections.
Possibly he may have been involved in Veterinary or Agriculture employment.

Evidently, Dr C E Terrill became the Chief of the Sheep, Goat, and Fur Animal Research Centre of the US Department of Agriculture.  He was a recognised authority in the 1970s on the subject of the cross-breeding of sheep in North America.  He was based in Ohio (all from Googling his name).

A Leonard James Rosevear died in NZ 1975/32489 birthdate 14 October 1890 so a good while before the other children were born so possibly not yours but something to note. We don't know if leonard was son of first family or second.
