Ray they are the ones the OP already has, that's what made her think it said Coal Cokemas in the first place.

It's Charles as a child and in 1881 I am having trouble with, apart from 1861 as I said earlier. Can't find him with parents William(a labourer) and Elizabeth on any other census.

RG 9/936 Folio 17 Page 34

1861 at 23 Albert Street Northampton

William Stock head 33 labourer b Colmworth Beds
Elizabeth Stock wife 25 b Duldo? Beds
Charles Stock son 2 b Colmworth Beds

But where are they on any other census?

Can't see an obvious marriage for the parents either.

Elizabeth Stock's birthplace is probably Duloe, which is in St Neots district.

There is a possible marriage in 1854, which is on the Escan website:

William's father's name is Charles.

Now you can understand the frustration with this group!
I haven't found then in 1881 either, but one daughter was born 1886 in lincolnshire so maybe they were in transition??

Also if you look at the Rushden web site here and just
search the site for Stocks you will find a lot of information
about the family.

Hi

The reason I published the census records because at some poiint they "must have been" in Lincolnshire . . . . . where the children may have been born.

So shall we look around the town names in Lincolnshire?

OK, I'll do it.  :)
