I believe that Friedrich William Lehmann died on 6th June 1953 at Nazareth House in East Camberwell, Victoria.
That isn't obvious from the death certificate and so let me explain.
His name is simply given as William Lehmann on the death certificate. I have a photo that came from the home of the sister of his mother (Marie Louise Lehmann), and on the back is written "Love from Will Lehmann To Auntie Martha". To at least some of his family then, he was known by his William/Wilhelm forename rather than Friedrich/Frederick.
The death certificate records his mother's name as Katie Lehmann nee Scott rather than Marie Louise. By then it was some 70 years since she had died and so I think the family (or whoever provided the information) should be given some latitude in recalling her forename.
Lastly his wife is identified on the death certificate as Milly Domasking and this is where it gets a little complicated. It goes back to the marriage of Friedrich Wilhelm Lehmann and Anna Emilie Domaschenz in Jeparit, Victoria in 1905. When his wife died, she was identified in the Horsham Times (page 4, 10 November 1908) as "Anna Emilie (Millie) Lehmann, wife of Mr F.W. Lehmann". Friedrich Wilhelm himself is recorded on the marriage certificate as age 26, born in Edithbourgh, South Australia and the son of Wilhelm Lehmann and Marie Louise Lehmann nee Scott.
Even though Elsie New doesn't rate a mention, put together these certificates and the newspaper article identify more or less the same birth place, birth date and parental names as his latter marriage cetificate and it shows him as a widower in 1908.
