Hi everyone and thanks for your posts.
I can tell you what I have records for that have been researched and verified and I have reference numbers.
These have been obtained just in the past few months.
I will start with the Ferguson's.
There were two marriages for William King Ferguson. He was born abt 1763. His first marriage was to Hanna Wilson (born possibly 28 February 1777) in Crossmolina and was buried 26 May 1830 in the cemetery at Drumachose Church (of England).
William King Ferguson then married Ellen Jane Osborne 17 November 1837 at Bovevagh Presbyterian Church. In the records it shows William H Ferguson & Ellenor Osborne. Witnesses were Joe Barnett and Wm Ritchie. William King Ferguson was a Slater & Glazier, (not a hatter).
Edward Augustus Ferguson born 4 September 1838 was christened on 23 September 1838 in Drumachose Christchurch CI Limavady. His Parents were William King Ferguson & Ellen Jane Ferguson of Kennaught.
Willaim King Ferguson died 28 September 1839, a year after Edward's birth. His age was 76. Records Drumachose Christchurch CI. buried by Robert Gage.
For Ellen Jane these details are taken off her death certificate. She was born Ellen Jane Osborne circa 1818 Inneskillen. Father Joseph Osborne Farmer & Mother Nancy Sproule. She was 55 years in the colony. She died in Nowra 11 July 1896 stating she was 78. On her death certificate it states she had two marriages. The first 18 years of age to Ferguson and had one child Edward Augustus Ferguson. The children below are listed under her second marriage to Henry Montgomery. The informant on Ellen Jane's death was her eldest daughter Anne. I now have regular contact with one of GG Grandaughters of Ellen Jane & Henry. Both her and I share Ellen Jane as our GG Grandma.
After she became a Ferguson in 1837 & her husband William King Ferguson died in 1939 she married Henry Montgomery born circa 1820 place Balteagh, Londonderry. Henry Montgomery's Parents were James Montgomery & Mary Lochery. Ellen Jane Ferguson & Henry Montgomery married 9 October 1840 in Limavady.
14 April 1841 Ellen Jane & Henry arrive in Australia on the James Mathieson. Henry was a Stonecutter & Ellen Jane a Dairywoman. Edward Augustus Ferguson did not accompany them. Their first child born in Australia was Ann Gordon born 30 June 1841 in Jerrawanglo NSW. She then had Ellen S.F., Mary, Elizabeth, Catherine, Jane, Hannah, Henry, Agnes, Deborah, Rebecca, Nancy.
The shipping records states Ellen Jane Montgomery was 18 in 1840 but we all know dates can be out by a few years. The person certifying Ellen's baptism was Stern and Ellen could read. It also says she was a native of Tillydrimmy. Henry Montgomery's shipping records states he was a native of Beliamully and his baptism by Stern P. Minister.
Both Ellen's & Henry's Fathers were dead when they came to Australia.
Getting back to my Great Grandfather Edward Augustus Ferguson, past family said he was raised by his Grandmother and came to Australia with her at the age of 16. The only Grandma I could think it would be is Nancy Osborne nee Sproule. Maybe she married again.
Please know I do truly appreciate all your help. I hope that this post makes things more clear than all my previous posts when I started researching.

Can we somehow attach this post to the research I have been doing in Derry. It will help to clarify information there also.
