Look Up Please Nancy OSBORNE (nee SPROULE)

Would someone please see if they can find a record for my GGG Grandmother Nancy Osborne (nee Sproule).
Not sure of a birth date but probably somewhere between 1790 and 1800 in I

She may have come to Australia from Nth. Ireland around mid 1850's and to Victoria or NSW.  I don't know if she died in Australia or returned to Nth. Ireland. I think if she came to Australia she probably stayed and died here.  Her husband was Joseph Osborne and he died back in Ireland.

A wild guess could be around Burrier NSW but it is only a guess.  Family rumour said Victoria.

Any help here is appreciated.

Hi
What documents do you have which give you her name? You seem to know very little about her, sho were her children, when did they arrive here and did they marry and die here?
For instance her daughters marriage certificates may have her signature if they married under 21, and you would know that she was still alive then. If she was widowed it is likely that she remarried, even if she was older.

The only thing of relevance to Nancy in those posts seems to be this mention of her daughter.

Ellen Jane Osborne was born abt 1818 in Inneskillen and her parents were Joshua Osborne and Nancy Sproule.

On 9 Oct 1840 in Limavady Ellen Jane Ferguson (nee Osborne) married Henry Montgomery who was born abt 1820 in Balteagh and his Parents were James Montgomery and his Mother Mary ?

In April 1841 they travelled on the  'James Matheson' to Australia and settled in the State of New South Wales.  Edward Augustus Ferguson who was 3 did not immigrate with them to Australia.  Someone must have reared him back in Ireland, probably Limavady.  Ellen & Henry had another 12 children in Australia.  Ellen died in 1896.

Still wowndering what evidence supports Nancy being in Australia at all??

There is no positive evidence that Nancy was is Australia but written down in the family history way back it states that Edward Augustus Ferguson came to Australia with his Grandmother.  Now both the Grandparents on the Ferguson side were dead.  One dying in 1830 and the other in 1839.  That can only leave Nancy Osborne alive.  We know Joshua Osborne died in Ireland.  As we cannot find shipping records all I have to go by is to search for a death in Australia if one exists.

To find when Nancy arrived with Edward Augustus FERGUSON you could look for his arrival... You have his dc as per other earlier threads searching for various items about him.  When and where did he arrive?  ...

For decades we have tried to find Edward's arrival but no luck.  The death certificate takes us back to 1862 in Qld. and that is where we start to find information on him in Australia but never an immigration record.  His mother was never with him in Queensland.  I think the two of them were probably in Victoria or NSW and then Edward went to Queensland. 

I think I will send a look up to Ireland and see if they can locate a death record for Nancy Osborne.
