We are in a weird spot, Thomas/ Becky Houston took a dna test. . We are trying to find their great grandfather , on their fathers side. His fathers name is Maurice Purvis Houston. Was born Jan 25, 1925 in Gateshead, England. We know Great grandma is Margaret Morton Houston from the same place. Can you figure out how they might fit in? Looking for your help. Jackie

We are not looking for a Houston, we are looking to see if anyone knows of a man, who was possibly a Purvis alive March - April - May 1924 , we have the Houston line.  I am their mother, helping them find their great grandfather - paternal side.

Anyone have a John Purves was born on September 9, 1906, in Gateshead, Durham, England, his father, George, was 37 and his mother, Annie, was 35. He married Elizabeth Hoggins in March 1932 in his hometown. He died on September 4, 1980, in Gateshead, Durham, England, at the age of 73.
