Hi mikk1! John's parents according to selfsame will were John Pierce Edwards b 1746 (at Gwyddelwern) and unknown... It's written: "married to? if daughter of Nant y glo Farm Colwyn. and re John I suppose "Lived at Pont Ushe Llangwyla Denbigh - left about 1812. Supposed to have lived at Nant y glo or Pont y glo Farm in 1800 - Parish of Colwyn."
Why don't you contact me direct on *   especially seeing we are rellies? (My maiden name is Jacqueline Gene Scott.) Would be good to be in touch and compare notes.

Hi Jacky

Looks like the wbsite banned your email address but luckily I saw it first. Did you get my reply?

I am sorry rootschat.. I wasn't aware of protocol (had 3 postings... tho maybe not right sort?)  Yes got your (very anonymous) message... Robert Price Edwards my pa's pa was outstanding in NZ. Architect of some lovely civic buildings, NZ's largest brickworks... developed kiln now a showpiece... 14 kids with Ellen Tricklebank all survived tho generally "seedless raisins" as grandma put it, and dissipated the substantial wealth he made. How do we go beyond Salusbury and Elizabeth Norris of Speke, or is it Spike? And do you have contact with Thomas the chemist's folk Blodwyn and Lillian or those of  Janet P (b 25 May 1863)?

the message removed your email address before you get an influx of spam. It's fine for you two to contact each other by pm - click on the little green scroll under the user name - or to exchange info offsite by email. There are people out there ( not members!) who will take advantage of email addresses on open boards like this, so the removal of the address was to protect you and your computer.

Thanks again dear Osprey... :-[ (hope this is how to use faces!) Am now back into and see what you mean abt Fred R supposed Vicar. His place of birth is given as Holywell 2 Feb 1855, d abt 40... praps he could have become a vicar in 10 yrs?

Also did not thank 2 others back in May for welcome. The thread needing to be repaired is John Edward's (d 1830 @ 54) unknown Hugues wife, and then his pa John (Pierce)'s (b 1746 Gwyddelwern) wife.

John's wife was Susannah, married before 1809. Have a look back at the first page of the post and the wills mentioned which you can check on the link I gave you. Think I've just spotted an error, Thomas Hughes was husband of Jane. Will correct now.

I don't have access to Crockford's, the clergy database, perhaps someone else can help you with that. I haven't found Fred after 1891.
