If anyones ancestors made it into the papers - Births, Marriages , Deaths, Court Appearances
anything at all, even the adverts, they will end up on this site...
There is already over a thousand transcriptions on the site, with loads more to come, all
completely searchable.

For anyone wanting to research old & new Cumberland newspapers in person this is a list of the libraries where they can be seen & the relative years that they cover. Hope it is of some help

Some of my Lancashire ancestors were in "Westmorland Gazette" c1820.
