Incidentally I have just noticed a Wm Spooner, 18 Henry Street, Pentonville in the private residents directory of the same volume.

So there is one section for private residents, and one for business addresses?
When his Son, F W Spooner was born in 1814, he was down as being born at Henry Street, Pentonville.
Does this mean that both William Spooner's might not be the same person? Or is there still a chance that they could?

But then again I suppose if William Spooner was the Proprietor of that business, he would automatically be put down as the owner of that business at the address in the 1811 Directory.

And it would make sense that he would have a different residential address and not have been living in his own Warehouse.

I have also found a clothier in Cateaton Street: Wood and Downing. Can anyone help with more information, please? Was the Wood named Richard Wood, and did the Downing have any connection with a clothier in Melksham, Wilts at around the same time?
