The Brooklyn Daily Eagle - Friday February 7 th 1913 has an article on John Slote - last survivor of prominent family. (Brother of Josephine)

Josephine Pershall married Stewart Alger.
Next generation back was - Josephine's mother -  Josephine Slote (1837) who married Henry L R Pershall.
Next generation back :- Josephine Slote's parents were Daniel Slote  (1800) and Ann Lowery.

According to the 1930 Census - Marjorie Alger/Dubois was first married at age 20 years, so married after the 1920 census but around that time. Have not found any record of that marriage but you could have a look yourself to see what is available at www.familysearch.org

Cannot name the 2 children of Marjorie and Bernard, although I have the married name of the daughter, have not found any death record so believe her and her brother both to be living .

Both spellings - Pershall and Parshall were used for Josephine
