Gilchrist Dewar, 24, single, joiner travelled from Glasgow to Montreal on the Hesperian arriving May 1908 with a destination of Montreal.
http://www.collectionscanada.gc.ca/index-e.html
Looks like he signed up for WWI - you can view his attestation papers from the above link under Military and Peacekeeping and then to CEF database
His sign up is under Gilchrist.

Form 30As for Alexander show a return to Canada on the Metagama for 20 Oct 1923.  Alexander is single, 43, b. Glasgow, baker, first arrival in Canada 13/04/1910 with his arrival at the port of Halifax.  He had returned to Scotland for a holiday.  Address in Canada 662 Nassau St. Winnipeg.  contact in Scotland was sister, Mrs. Clark 373 Garbraid (? ) Street Glasgow.

On the same ship was married brother James, plumber, with the same home address in Winnipeg.  Wife Fannie, 38, b. London, England was accompanying him.  She had arrived in Canada May 1909 at the port of Quebec.
Manitoba Vital Statistics website show a marriage 01/01/1920 at Winnipeg between James Dewar and Fanny Louisa Archer.

Another return voyage to Canada for Fanny Dewar, 45, married shows their address as 912 St. Matthews Ave. Winnipeg.  Her return was on the duchess of York arriving June 1935.  she had been in Canada between 1910-1935.

There is a passenger list for Daniel Dewar showing the above address on his return to Canada in the 1930s but at the moment it's not showing up again.

Debbie

Fanny Louis Dewar died June 28th, 1962 http://www.gov.mb.ca/chc/archives/probate/1957-1968/wpgD1957.pdf
Her obituary says very little other than she is survived by her husband and family in England. There is a death for James Dewar April 30th  '65 . His obit mentions his war service and 35 years working at Crescent creamery.

Alexander passed away May 10th 1961, Gladstone Manitoba. He ran Dewar's Bakery. His Margaret wife died 1940. There was one son John Robert Alexander Dewar of Gladstone and a daughter Margaret ( Hunt) of Neepawa. Both have passed away. I will p.m. those details...There is an extensive obit for John!!

The Dewar's Bakery ( Not much, just a bldg.) But also the Dewar house is in there, I didn't look for it, though...  http://www.gladstone.ca/assets/history.pdf
