Help identify this Uniform please ?

Hi folks,
trying to identify this uniform, worn by my Great Grandfather. Judging by his age here, i'd guess its around 1880 maybe. His name was Ben Cotton, born 1863 and lived in Longsight, Manchester

Looks like Rifle Volunteer Corps, not sure what regiment.
