The Social Security Death Index lists two Michael Murphys born in 1922 whose SS number was issued in Massachusetts:

Michael Murphy #1, born 18 Jan 1922, died 4 Oct 1993, SS# 027-16-7449; no death locality noted

Michael Murphy #2. born 13 Dec 1922, died 26 Jan 2011, SS# 015-24-5242; death locality was zip code 02139, Cambridge, Cambridgeport, Inman Square, Middlesex, Massachusetts
 


Do either of these individuals fit the bill?  There are others if the birth range is expanded.
