T Smith is 54 born Liverpool address 42 Croft Street .
Ship last served Gloxinia .
Ships Cook
He was discharged at Liverpool 16 feb 1909
Is the any way I might be able to find out more about him I dont mind paying to see records
As no central personnel MN records were kept, effectively, between 1857 and 1918 the only way to find out more is by backtracking on crew agreements. As you have seen previous vesel is recorded in the crew agreement.
GLOXINIA official number 105217 built by Tyne Iron Shipbuilding ltd at Willington Quay  completed in Jan 1897. 2540 tons, owned by Stag Line, North Shields.
1916 sold to Leopold Walford, London r/n PETINGUARDET, 1921 sold to M. Uravain, Spain r/n FRANCISCA URAVAIN, 1928 sold to Velilla y Candina, Spain r/n CANDINA, 1966 scrapped at Santander.
Her 1908 crew agreements are at Memorial University of Newfoundland

According to Family Search my ancestor Frederick Meredith, born Manchester 1825, is recorded in the Merchant Navy Seamens Records for his service 1845-1854.

I wondered if these records would give more details as the images are not on Family Search?

The images are available from Find my Past There are 4 sets there for Fredrick or F Meridith born Manchester 7/Oct/1825. I suspect they may be duplicated but theres only one way to find out.
I looked at the first one but at 20 credits a go, its up to you to look yourself for the rest.
The information contained was as follows
His Seamans Ticket number was 258572
He first went to sea as an Apprentice on 1/Oct/1844
Brown hair
blue eyes
light complexion
5ft ?inches
He appeared to have a crown and anchor tattoo and a distinguishing sign on his right hand?
He could read
Never been in the Royal Navy or Foreign service
Lived in Manchester when not employed
Registered ticket in Liverpool 3/June/1845

One of the other documents may be a copy his ticket. If it is you may need to post it for some kind of interpretation.
