Hi Biker1
The shoulder title wouldnt be the same as a cap badge.
What was the name of the lad in the first photo? If he served overseas he 99% will have a Medal Index Card on the National Archives site. The MIC will list his units There may be a few lads with similar names but it narrows it down.
Ady
Ady - thanks for dismissing that! I really thought I'd got something of use - back to square 1 with his emblems then.
Unfortunately I don't know his name or hers, all I know is that they get married later (I have a marriage photo in civvies - I presume after the war) of them.
Its her that is the relation some how to me.
In the second photo, that man is the brother of the girl in the first photo, he is married to the girl sat down with him. I don't know his name either, but he and his wife also feature in the first couples marriage photo. The men were obviously friends as man1 was marrying man2's sister.
Man2 will be either a:
William - Robert or Fred (surname) Hollingworth or Hollingsworth
Robert - Arthur W - Cecil H - George H (surname) Graham
Luther - George (surname) Varley
Edwin - Joe (surname) Spencer
Robert (surname) Blacka
I'll now go away and go insane!
