I think hes a Territorial Soldier but cant Id a Regiment.
He has two good conduct stripes and a wound stripe on bottom photograph.

What makes you think Territorial? (I'm new to this so bear with me) are we still talking WW1 years here?

I think it's Royal Garrison Artillery but it could also be Royal Field Artillery.  I am judging this by the shoulder lanyard and belt.  Pity there is no cap badge on view.

Anyone else notice the lack of putees in the lower picrure?

The elongated shoulder title on top photo looks like a Territorial Force one.....Possibly RGA

I agree Ady.  Lots of RGA were territorials, plus most RFA uniforms would have had a leather bandolier running from shoulder to waist.

I agree with him being in the TF for the first photograph. A better scan of the shoulder title should show a T then a number followed by his regiment/corps

In the second he is a Regular as part-timers did not earn good conduct pay. The photographs look to be about ten years apart - if they are of the same man. Also no T in the second photograph.

Thank you 'all' for your help so far. Info that I can add if it helps:

All the photos are relations that lived at the time in West Yorkshire - Halifax, Bradford, Keighley and surrounding areas.

I have blown up the first photo best I can and I would say that the shoulder badge does not incorporate a 'T', it certainly has something that stands up-right to one side of the whole badge though.

They are not of the same man, to give a bit of back-ground, the man with the 2 good conduct stripes is the brother of the girl in the first image.

Good point re the trousers/no putees - his trouser do look like serge though?
