Hi raylen - that's brilliant! I found some of that information but it was slow going. I got most of the births and marriages but not the deaths. Yes, Benjamin may not be the right one - I suppose always possible that hwe wasn't born in WA. At about the same time, Albert's brother Arthur was in eastern Australia (and going through a divorce in 1903, in NSW), also another brother William Henry was living on Phillip Island, Victoria from about 1891 to 1899.
I'm assuming that Charles Clarence is the correct Charles - but have made contact with a possible relative on GenesReunited who should be able to confirm or reject this identification.
as for Bert - I think this is the Bert Button who was killed in November 1916 in a bomb accident on Salisbury Plains, England: found a few newspaper notices about his death. Found him on the CWGC database - Albert James Button, died 23 Nov 1916. 51st battalion, AIF , buried in Codford St Mary, Wiltshire, wife Gladys May, but no further information. Hiswife's name tallies with the Gladys in the newspaper entries, who had surname Crowle (in memoriam entry was placed by her father, hence we have the surname).
Thanks again
Stephen
