Thank you Lu. I did not see the posting about Eva until I read John's post.

On an unrelated topic - my grandfather had a younger brother called Trevor Robinson who was born in 1907. From the family stories he died within a day of his birth. I sent to New Zealand for the birth certificate, but I can't find the death certificate. It was said he was born at Kataia, which is right up north. Could this be the same as Eva?

Thanks again

Hi John
Yes that is the birth, but the family can't find the death or a gravestone. This birth has been an issue in the family for years as Pop his brother, only mentioned it after a few ales! Therefore some of the family knew about Trevor and some did not.

Hi Leanne

Returning to the ANDREW family.   ;)

Thankfully, John Howard and Frances Ethel ANDREW, had two further children (sons - whose births do not yet show up on the online index.)   One I'd found earlier with his parents and siblings on the electoral rolls, the other's identity is confirmed in his parents' death notices.  Both (now deceased) married, and John and Frances had at least 3 grandchildren.  [I've exluded names of these g/chn. from the notices, as all are possibly living.  But their names will be known once you move to the next step of obtaining death notices for their parents. ]  ;)

ANDREW - John Howard Mollet -- On April 16 [1959] at Greenlane Hospital, d/l/h/o Frances Ethel and loved father of Nancy, Jack, Irwin and Brian.  Loved grandfather of  * * & * [1 boy, 2 girls].   Service at St. Paul's Methodist Church, Remuera.

NZ Deaths

2003 - ANDREW - John Robert - d.o.b.  14 August 1912

and his wife ...

2010 - ANDREW - Marjory Adelaide - b. 9 May 1914
Date of Death:   6 September 2010

--------------------

1986 - ANDREW - Brian Selwyn - b. 16 January 1916

and his wife ...

2007 - ANDREW - Adelaide Eunice - b. 27 June 1915
Date of Death:    7 September 2007

------------------------------

Would suggest that you get the (more recent) death notices of the wives of these men.   ;)

Am assuming they died in  Auckland ?  (can't be sure as last electoral info I have is, 1981) ... and don't see their names on any of the Auckland cemetery indexes.
The "New Zealand Herald" has broad coverage so would perhaps be the most likely place to find notices.

To request a newspaper (notice) look-up, you can start a new topic ... (or, if you prefer, use the NZSG North Shore resource mentioned earlier in this thread.)
