No I dont think so, the certificate I have definitely lists parents as Anthony and Harriet. Although oddly I do know that the generation born in 1930's all had the in initial H.E.R. Pollock - both males and females. I'm not sure where this certificate came from as it was in my husbands records...hmmm maybe the H.E.R. reference is relevant? Just when you think you have the answers... :-)

McVicars.....I was referring to the father b. 1875 as the father of   H.E. R... different wife.

Cando, I  did realise that  I  was just querying McVicars as  to  where her Horace Edwin POLLOCK  lived 

So as to offer any advice for obtaining a death certificate?

Ahh thankyou = Horace was definitely a cycle builder as I recall seeing old photos of him outside a bicycle shop which I think was called Pollock Cycles. He did move to NSW so the 1957 death is also likely to be him.

POLLOCK Anthony aged 35 arrived on  the Morning Light in Feb 1867
Along with John aged 5 and Martha aged 11.

If   this is  the right Anthony Pollock  his mother and father  and a large number of siblings. also came to Victoria as assisted emmigrants on  the Persian in 1854

Jenn you are so right! That would be it because on Horace's birth cert it lists 2 children from a previous marriage as John and Martha
