hi i need help on finding info on a thomas garland and his family.....he was born 1863 in england and married a mary ann johnson 1886 also england....but they had a daughter called hannah garland born 1889 philadelphia,usa......now i dont know why they where there or for how long because all there other children where born in england..(hannah was the oldest child,the next was born 1894 in england)so not sure when they got to usa or back again...please help if you can

Unfortunately, you are in a time period in which not much can be found.  They arrive after the 1880 census, the 1890 census was almost completely destroyed by fire, and they are back in England for the 1900 census.

I looked at the Philadelphia City Directories for the 1885 to 1895 time frame for a Thomas Garland.
