Hi Malcolm,
We have swopped info before.
The Curnick gathering is next Sunday 27th. The venue is The Dickens Inn, St Katherine Docks, London E1W 1UH.
It will start at 12 midday and go on until late. There will be descendants of Samuel Curnick (Cornick) 1600, Seend, coming from Australia, South Africa, USA and Canada, as well as lots from the UK.
I expect around 130 on the day.
Malcolm, you are already in the tree!
Let me know if you can make it -

Hi Gary

Yes it was a few years that we connected the Radstock area Cornick's to the larger Curnick from Seend tree.

My wife has been very ill since Easter so I don't think I can get away for the meet in London.

I have sent a request to join the FB Curnick group.

I did get your email address before it was removed so will mail you later today.

Hi Malcolm

I have just started researching my family history via the usual route of ancestry/ census etc and think I am descended from Samuel Cornick of Seend. Do you have some information about him and his "line"that would help me?

Best Regards

Jim

Hi Jim

I Have done a lot of research into Samuel and his family in Somerset. I am sure I can help. I am in the process of getting a tree put online.

If you can give me the names you have got so far I will check and see how they link into the bigger family.

I lived in Frome for a while. Hoping to get back for a visit soon.

All the best
Malcolm

Hi Malcolm,

Thanks for your offer of help. My grandfather was Walter Edward Cornick (b Penleigh 1874), his father was Henry James (b Frome 1844). I believe that Henry J was the son of James Cornick (b Kilmersdon abt 1824) but have not established definite link (in 1871 census Henry was a lodger two houses down from James his wife and younger family, and adjacent to other house of Samuel (b Seend) and Betsy - all living in Charlton Village. I have 1841 census link of James and John Cornick as sons of Samuel and Betsy -  all living in Charlton Hamlet. If you can link or improve that outline that would be great.
Best Regards
Jim
