The Day God Called You Home

God looked around his Garden and found an empty place.
He then looked down upon his earth and saw your loving face.

He put his arms around you and lifted you to rest.
His Garden must be beautiful, he always takes the best.
He knew that you were suffering, he knew you were in pain.
And knew that you would never get well on earth again.
He saw your path was difficult, he closed you tired eyes,
He whispered to you "Peace be Thine" and gave you wings to fly.
When we saw you sleeping so calm and free of pain,
We would not wish you back to earth to suffer once again.
You've left us precious memories, your love will be our guide,
You live on through your children, you're always by our side.
It broke our hearts to lose you, but you did not go alone.
For part of us went with you on the day God called you home

RIP Rabbit xx

Although our paths never crossed, it has become all too obvious that Rabbit was a well loved member of this and the wider community, so..........

i would like to add my sincere condolences to all her family and friends both personal and virtual, wherever you may be.

Hello to all Rabbit's special friends.  I have just been reading all your wonderful messages about my mum RabbitB (Jan) and I am so moved and touched.  All of you made such a huge difference to her life, you all meant so much to her.  Thank you all for your love, kindness and good wishes.

Dear Helen,

As you can see your mum was much loved on RootsChat, by people all over the world.

I hope that you will be able to draw some comfort from this at this terribly sad time for you. So many of us have shed a tear for your mum today. She was a treasure  :)

God bless you and your family, and give you strength to go forward day by day.

Judy
Best wishes, Judy :-))

Hello Helen,

Yes your mum will be sorely missed here and the other chat place she frequented.  I have "known" your mum for many years, from when she first hopped into the BBC family History forum before she became a member of Rootschat.  We have all stuck together through thick and thin and Jan will be very much missed with her wonderful knack of saying the right thing when one is down or down with health problems.

Its going to be a tough week for you all, take care and give the girls a big cuddle from some of their "virtual aunties" here and over on myfamily.

As a relative newcomer to the Boards I didn't know Rabbit well, but she made me very welcome when I joined and I will always remember her gracious, humerous response when I apologised for mistaking her for a 'he'.
RIP Rabbit, and sincere condolences to your family
