Hi Sistera,

Did you get the Robert Ellwood/Margaret McCandlish marriage certificate as this should give you her fathers name and occupation?

I would be interested to know who Robert Ellwood's father was. I have interests in Ellwoods of Cockermouth.

Regards,

Gillian

Hi,

No I haven't got the Mark Ellwood 1869. I have:

Mark Ellwood died 23/03/1875 intestate - granted to Richard Ellwood his son, also mentions John Ellwood of Blasterfield, Crosby Ravensworth, Mark's brother (and my ggg grandfather). I also have Mark's death cert.

This Mark was the husband of Mary Maunsey and son of William Ellwood & Anne Simpson.

Regards,

Gillian

PS - Could you post the details of your Mark?
