Hi and welcome Vicki
Norman Lane Burial records - Sorry disc out on loan? - No help to you there.
There are 2 Saxty named people buried there, latest 1943 presumably your Anna.
If nobody comes up trumps will take a look for you. (Weather wet and windy)

Hi Brian,
Thanks for the welcome.
Maureen has kindly sent the burial record from another source.
Anna SAXTY 10 Mount St, Eccleshill. Died April 29 1943, Age 66, Buried May 3rd 1943. Rev L J THOMAS. Plot No. 658.

So now would be nice to know if there is a headstone with inscription or not, in case that gives any further information.

No going out in rain please, but if you could look when your disc comes back from loan that would be great.
Regards, Vicki

Beautiful weather at the cemetary, a balmy 20°C with just a light breeze.
Nothing found at the cemetary (looks more like a stoneyard!)
A fair number of headstones had been toppled over (safety?) more like vandals.
Likewise a number of gtaves had holly growing (8-10ft high bush) no way am I going to tangle with that?
 Sorry about that Brian

Hello again Brian,
Thanks so much for your efforts, very pleased the weather cleared.
What a shame the cemetery is in disrepair.
Regards, Vicki

All is not lost, just e mailed a member of the team who created the cemetery CD record.
Will advise when reply received.

It appears there is only Anna  Saxty buried at Norman Lane.
(2- refers to 1 entry for burial register and 1 refers to grave book)
Anna confirmed as dying 29th April 1943 with burial 3rd May 1943.
No grave inscription on CD due to being unreadable/unaccessible.

Hi Brian,
Thanks very much, well at least I can now stop worrying about who the other entry was for & have confirmed Anna's details.
Your help with this is much appreciated.
