Corris Lydia Huins 1911 census lookup

I thought this would be an easy name to track but no such luck.

I have her marraige to William Drew in Bromsgrove Q3 1926 and an entry on the BMD index for Q3 1902.

I'd like to find her on the 1911 census to tell me who her parents but I've been at it for hours and drawn a blank.

Can anybody see if I'm missing the obvious somewhere

Unfortunately we aren't able to do 1911 look-ups for copyright reasons.

However, I've just had a look at the free index on FindMyPast, and she is definitely there.

Is there a reason why she doesn't show up on the 1911 census on ancestry?

Yes - the 1911 coverage on Ancestry isn't yet complete.

You can easily find out who else is in the same household, by using the advanced search on the 1911 site.

At the bottom of the page ('Other members of the household') enter the christian name Corris and the surname Huins. Check 'exact name' in both cases.
Put an asterisk where it says census reference.
Leave everything else blank.

It works - I just tried it!

You can also cross-check the names against the free index on Genes Reunited which will tell you their places of birth (Many thanks to a RC Moderator for giving this tip    )
