Nicholson / Kettle

William Henry Nicholson (b 1839) Occ Blacksmith.
My Great-great-grandfather.

1901 Irish census states that he was born in England
but not where. This is what I am looking for, to try and
trace his family roots.

His father was Nicholas, as stated on William Henry’s
Marriage certificate. William died between 1904 /1911
But I cannot find any trace of his demise anywhere.

William married Anne McKevitt, 1869 Dundalk register office   They lived in Carlingford Co Louth, and had at least 10 children
9 boys and 1 girl. I know quite a lot of all their backgrounds
none of which leads me to William Henry’s birthplace.

Edwin Francis Kettle (b 1877) Grantham Lincolnshire
Married William Henry’s daughter Mary Anne Nicholson (1903)
Riverstown Cooley, Carlingford.
They are in the 1911 English census, in Chapeltown Sheffield
There are 2 children William Francis, (b1906) and Frederick John
(1904) Both born in Co Kildare Ireland, there are more children, Joseph, (b1912) and Elsie M, (1913) both in Grantham
and possibly Florence, (b1923) Nottingham.

If there is any family members of the Kettles or anyone
Who knows of them, close relations or friends.
Please get in touch.

Yours gratefully and hopefully.
Edward. S. Hoey
