Jane's age varies somewhat, but I don't think that this is too unusual! This age equates with the 1881 but not the 1871 census.

I have found a baptism for her: Jane Murdock baptised 14 January 1838, born 4 December 1837 to Thomas and Jane Murdock at St. John, Horselydown Parish Church, Southwark. Her father Thomas was a 'slater'

Now found a marriage:

Jane Murdock married James Nolan at St. John's. Horselydown, Southwark on 27 October 1867.  Jane's father was Thomas Murdock a 'slater' and James father was Denis Nolan a 'tanner'  Both were of full age.  James was a 'white leather staker'

I do believe that we have the right family!

I think i have managed to find the marriage record for Jane's parents now

Thomas Murdock Married Jane Dunn 08 Jul 1833 Bermondsey

Now I will have to see what else i can dig up so thanks again everyone
