Searched the eircom phone book and no Merritts showing in Tipperary or Offaly

Hi,
A message was posted about a Charles Merritt, his death in 1915, a soldier. I remembered seeing the Merritt name on your post. I searched for the family.

Have you tried writing to the local paper in Birr, Tipperary that might put your letter in there paper asking for information.
