any Winning information
« on: Wednesday 25 April 12 17:33 BST (UK) »
I have a John Winning  died 7th February 1865 Ballykeel Ballyclug. Residence of informant Ballykeel. Where would he have been buried, and how would I get access to the grave records? I believe Ballykeel is near Larne and Ballyclug is near Ballymena. Registration District is Ballymena

No need to re-post. I'll move your topic to Antrim board now.

There is a Ballykeel near Ballymena.

Have a look at burial records here- the database includes details from 41 graveyards in Ballymena area, including Ballyclug. If you can't find what you are looking for there just let us know the information you've found so far and we'll try to help.

Hello kenco,  I have the Gravestone Records here and unfortunately there is no Winning headstone listed in Ballyclug Old Graveyard.  That is not to say that your relative is not buried there, just no headstone.
Regards,

By the way, Ballykeel is in Ahoghill Parish, and there are three Winnings listed in Griffiths Valuation of Ireland (1861-62), two Johns and one William.

Winning           John                  Ahoghill,(Carmacmoin)             Ahoghill     Antrim
Winning           John                  Ahoghill,(Lismurnaghan)           Ahoghill     Antrim
Winning           William               Drumramer                         Ahoghill     Antrim

Lismurnaghan and Ballykeel are quite close to the graveyard.

any Winning information
« Reply #8 on: Friday 27 April 12 10:14 BST (UK) »
I am researching Winning in Northern Ireland any information would be appreciated. Especially any Peter or John Winning. I know that Peter is very rare and as far as I can find out there were only 2.

I have a Peter Winning born Kirkinriola abt 1835 who died 1896 aged 53 years. (Actualy he would have been 61)
His Father was a John Winning a plumber

Any graves or gravestone inscriptions would be helpful
