Sorry to intrude here, but I wondered when working men (or gentlemen) started putting front creases in their trousers.
I've seen some very smartly turned on men on the pictures in this forum, but a lot seem to have scruffy, unpressed trousers.

A google search turned up a query on SEAX, that suggested the address was in Grays, Thurrock, Essex?

Dates of Creation:            29 July 1917
Scope and Content:    Blind stamp of S. Edwin, 113 Clarence Rd [?Grays Thurrock].
Garrad (Suffolk, Essex, Somerset), Crocker (Somerset), Vanstone (Devon, Jersey), Sims (Wiltshire), Bridger (Kent)

                 Family came from Hampshire originally.

Looks to me like a bus conductor's uniform - if you type that int a search box you will find one the same except for cap badge - cheers H.
