Many thanks for posting the information, KGarrad, which is very helpful. My research suggests that George Knill (1899-), had the following ancestral line:
Parents: Charles George Knill (1867-), and Elizabeth Knill née Mosely (1870-), who married in 1890, in West Derby (registration district), Lancashire.
Grandparents: John Charles Knill (1842-), born in West Teignmouth, Devon, and Emma Ann Knill née Helson (c1841-).
Great-grandparents: Thomas Knill (1798-1873), of Ilfracombe, Devon, and Grace Knill née Hooper (1801-1880), who was born in Dawlish, Devon.
Second great-grandparents: Thomas Knill (c1755-1827), and Anne Knill née Watts (c1767-1841), who married in Holy Trinity Parish Church, Ilfracombe.
Third great-grandparents: Thomas Knill (1726-), and Ann Knill née How, who married in St Peter's Church, Berrynarbor, Devon.
Fourth great-grandparents: John Knill (1704-), born in Ilfracombe, and Mary Knill née Roberts (c1707-), who married in Holy Trinity Parish Church, Ilfracombe.
