I think you will find  Emsworth is in Hampshire not Sussex.

Half in Hampshire, half in Sussex. The border's a couple of hundred metres from where I'm sitting  8-)

I looked at the Parishes the Sussex Family History Group have transcribed & Emsworth is`nt on there.

The Borders can be a pain ???.I have the same problem with some of my Welsh lot.One Village,one half is in Pembs,the other in Carms ::)
