Maybe Stephen ELDRIDGE married Martha FOREMAN at St George's Canterbury 20 Dec 1749 might be worth considering - particularly if more children can be found  before the following ???

Martha (dau of Stephen and Martha) bp Brabourne 14 Mar 1756
Ann (dau of Stephen and Martha) bp Brabourne 16 Oct 1757
Elizabeth (dau of Stephen and Martha) bp Mersham 30 Sep 1759

I checked transcripts for PR's in Mersham and Brabourne, but did not come up with anything more than casalguidi has already found. I would say though that ELDRIDGE is an unusually common name in Mersham in the 18th century with several couples (around 9) baptising children, so there could be some family connections in the village.
