I am new to this Lincolnshire Lookup request site.....
I am looking for info re James Knott, born around 1826 m to Betsy Scuffham, c william b 1849, elizabeth b 1850, robert b 1853, martha b 1858, james b 1860, jane b 1862.
james and betsy arrived in australia in 1852 on the Anglia. It is list on the ships list that james was born in lincolnshire.
any help would be gratefully appreciated.

According to the 1851 census james was bon in Biggleswade, Bedfordshire.  Betsey born Spalding, Lincolnshire.  Ths might help...

possibly his christening record  = 7th April 1826 father robert mother Keziah - Dunton, Bedford, England

Hi all, James aged 16 appears to be the James Knott working for Thomas Westrope and family at Thistley Grounds, Eyeworth, Biggleswade, Beds.

An online tree gives Keziah's maiden name as Gale.

I can't find James' parents on the 1841 census, any luck keyboard86?

James' brother Samuel b 1821, sister Sarah b 1823

but still cant find them on the 1841 census!
